Soldier, woman nabbed in Samar drug bust

TACLOBAN CITY –– A soldier and a woman are facing charges after they were arrested in a drug bust in Catbalogan City, Samar on Saturday, August 15.

Corporal Raffy Garcia, 33, a member of the 8th Infantry Division, and Renalyn Atiga, 23, were accused of selling shabu (methamphetamine) to a poseur-buyer.

They will be charged for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, particularly for selling prohibited drugs.

The offense is non-bailable.
