2 Albay drug suspects arrested
LEGAZPI CITY – -Police arrested two drug suspects in separate operations on Sunday night in Albay, a police report said Monday.
Police Captain Dexter Panganiban, Albay provincial police spokesperson, said several sachets of shabu (crystal meth) were seized during the drug operations.
In Tabaco City, Andy Melgar, 60, resident of Barangay Bangkilingan and tagged as a high value target (HVT) illegal drug pusher, was caught selling shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay Matagbac at around 6:45 p.m.
Melgar yielded a sachet of shabu and P3,500 marked money.
In Sto. Domingo town, police collared Melchor Borras, 22, a resident of Bagong San Roque.
Borras was arrested after turning over a sachet of shabu to another undercover officer at around 8 p.m.
Seized from the suspect were two sachets of shabu.
The suspects were placed under police custody and are facing charges for possession and trading of illegal drugs.
