MANILA, Philippines — The emergency room of the Pasig City General Hospital will be temporarily closed as many of its personnel need to undergo quarantine measures, the local government announced on Friday.
In a Twitter post, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto said the emergency room will be closed from Saturday, August 15, to Wednesday, August 19.
“Iniiwasan natin ang ganitong pagsara ng ER, pero marami po sa kanila ang kailangan mag-quarantine,” he said.
(We are avoiding such closures of ERs but many of them need to undergo quarantine.)
“Kung mananatili silang bukas ay masasakripisyo rin ang kanilang serbisyo sa mga pasyente,” he added.
(If they will continue to operate, the service to patients will be sacrificed.)
