Asymptomatic COVID-19 patient infects husband, daughter in Olongapo City

OLONGAPO CITY –– A woman who contracted the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in this city has infected her husband and daughter on Thursday or six days after her test result turned out positive for the virus.

In a statement, Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said the patient’s husband, 35, and their daughter, 12, raised to 37 the total active cases in the city.

The three were asymptomatic and in stable conditions, Paulino said.

It was not immediately known how the woman was exposed to COVID-19.

Olongapo City now has 64 confirmed patients to date, 24 of whom recovered while three had died.
