MANILA, Philippines — The antibody testing for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Pasig City uses a reservation system to prevent residents from gathering inside the hospital in violation of physical distancing and other quarantine health protocols, City Mayor Vico Sotto said.
“Para hindi dagsain ng tao ang testing site, BAWAL PO ANG WALK-IN. (For people not to gather at the testing site, walk-in is not allowed.) 300 slots available,” Sotto said on Twitter on Tuesday.
The free antibody test is available at a dedicated testing site in Pasig, Sotto said. Specifically, the antibody test is called the enhanced chemiluminescence immunoassay (Eclia) testing, which detects antibodies in blood samples collected from patients.
Pasig also has a COVID-19 testing site at Pasig City Children’s Hospital, which is the city’s COVID-19 referral hospital. The testing facility offers swab testing as well as Eclia testing.
Those who will avail free testing will undergo medical evaluation prior to the testing, Sotto also noted.

On Wednesday, Pasig logged 2,416 total COVID-19 cases with 929 recoveries and 136 deaths.
