TAGBILARAN CITY—Police seized some P3.74 million worth of shabu, or crystal meth, from a company driver in Dauis town on Wednesday (Aug. 12).

Carlos Butal Lamanilao, 43, a resident of San Isidro village, San Miguel town, was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 11:30 a.m., said Capt. Gereon Item, head of the Bohol police’s intelligence branch.

Item said Lamanilao, who works as a driver for a food product company based in San Miguel town, had been under surveillance for three weeks after police learned of his involvement in drugs.

The buy-bust operation was conducted by the joint members of the Bohol police’s intelligence and drug enforcement units and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Bohol.
