Did You Know: 35th death anniversary of National Artist Manuel Conde

Today, Aug 11, is the 35th death anniversary of National Artist for Cinema Manuel Conde.

Born on Oct. 9, 1915, he created more than 40 films from 1940 to 1963. Conde’s major works included “Ibong Adarna” (1941), “Si Juan Tamad” (1947), “Genghis Khan” (1950) and “Juan Tamad goes to Congress” (1959).

He died in 1985 and was conferred the title of National Artist in 2009.
