MANILA, Philippines — A former official of the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) is expected to come forward with evidence on the alleged corruption in the agency when the Senate resumes its probe on the issue on Tuesday.
This was revealed by Senate President Vicente Sotto on Monday, adding that two other resource persons will also be attending the Senate probe.
“One witness is coming out tomorrow. ‘Yung two others baka resource person lang, if not witnesses,” he told reporters in an online media forum.
The former official, whom he did not name, will divulge information on the alleged corruption in the agency.
“According to Senator [Panfilo] Lacson, mabigat ‘yung mga bibitawan, mabigat ‘yung ididisclose na impormasyon,” he added.

On Tuesday, the Senate committee on the whole will continue its inquiry on the corruption allegations plaguing PhilHealth.
