MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health will delay the release of its daily bulletin for coronavirus disease on Monday due to a “system error.”
In a Facebook post, the DOH said it will release its daily case bulletin at 8 p.m. on Monday, which is hours later than its usual 4 p.m. release.
“This is due to an unexpected system error that caused the non-inclusion of new cases in the COVIDKAYA-extracted database,” it said.
“The problem has been addressed already but it entails additional time to process the recently extracted data,” the DOH added.
The health department said it is already probing the root cause of the system error and will ensure that such an incident will not happen again in the future.
As of August 9, there are 129,913 COVID-19 cases in the country, with 67,673 recoveries and 2,270 deaths.
