Angeles City COVID-19 cases reach 100

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Angeles City logged 37 new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases this week, raising the total number of infections there to 100 as of Saturday (Aug. 8).

The new cases increased the number of active cases now undergoing treatment to 53, said Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. who has reimposed a rule that mandates all residents to present quarantine passes when leaving villages (barangays). He also directed authorities to make sure everyone wears face masks, even when they are inside their respective neighborhoods.

Of the 100 Angeles cases, 41 have recovered from the disease. Six patients however have died from the disease.
