Ubay, Bohol hospital staff exposed to infected patient gets COVID-19

TAGBILARAN CITY – A hospital employee who was exposed to a mother who gave birth to twins in Ubay, Bohol last month tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Bohol Gov. Arthur Yap, said the employee of Don Emilio Del Valle Memorial Hospital was immediately isolated.

The patient had a contact with the mother who was also found to have contracted the virus.

Yap appealed to Boholanos to continue following health protocols like wearing face masks and observing physical distancing.

Bohol is currently under a modified general community quarantine.

As of Saturday, Bohol has 104 COVID-19 cases, including 74 recoveries, and five deaths.
