St. Luke’s Medical Center’s COVID-19 facilities reach full capacity

MANILA, Philippines — The management of St. Luke’s Medical Center (SLMC) has announced that its facilities for coronavirus disease 2019  (COVID-19) patients in Global City (Taguig) and Quezon City have  already reached full capacity.

In a statement released on Friday, the hospital management said that its COVID-19 Intensive Care Units (ICU) and COVID-19 wards in both facilities  are full.

The emergency rooms, the management added, are “likewise running at full capacity for COVID-19 patients.”

“We would like to request those who require immediate care to seek COVID treatment from other facilities until our hospitals are able to accommodate COVID cases again,” the statement read.

“Rest assured that we will keep the public updated. Thank you for your continued support and understanding,” it added.

To date, the Philippines has 122,754 COVID-19 cases, with 66,852 recoveries and 2,168 fatalities.
