COVID-19 infects 8 more Tarlac cops

TARLAC CITY –– Eight more cops of Bamban town in Tarlac province tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Friday (August 7) after being exposed to their fellow police.

The new cases brought to 113 the total COVID-19 tally in the province.

Police Col. David Poklay, provincial director, said the cops were all asymptomatic and seven of them were admitted to the National Government Administrative Center at New Clark City in Capas town.

Another was admitted to the Cong. Enrique “Henry” Cojuangco Memorial Hospital in Moncada town.

Poklay said there are now 15 Philippine National Police personnel who got infected with the virus, including a 34-year-old-pregnant policewoman and non-uniformed member of the Bamban police station.
