TUGUEGARAO CITY — Seventy-three Chinese nationals and three Filipinos were arrested on Tuesday at a private hotel in Santa Ana, Cagayan for engaging in illegal online gambling, police said.
Police Brig. Gen. Crizaldo Nieves, Cagayan Valley regional police director, said they raided Villa Saturnina Hotel and Resort on the strength of a search warrant issued by a regional trial court in Aparri, Cagayan.
Seized during the operation were 103 desktop computers and laptops that the suspects used.
Most of the arrested Filipinos are hotel staff, Nieves said.
