QUEZON, Nueva Ecija –– Some P300,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) was seized while two persons were arrested during a buy-bust operation here on Monday night, police said.
Christian Frivaldo, Central Luzon director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), identified the suspects as John Cevin Fernandez, alias Barbie, 29, and Laila Almerol, 40, both of Licab town.
Frivaldo said the operation in Barangay Doña was based on intelligence information about the suspects’ illicit activity.
The suspects yielded some 50 grams of shabu, a motorcycle, and a mobile phone. Police also seized the P1,000 marked money.
