MANILA, Philippines — Following the national guidelines on the implementation of the modified enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in Manila announced that residents must reuse their old quarantine passes if they want to go out on essential errands.
Based on a joint memorandum signed by the DILG Manila office and the Manila Barangay Bureau on Sunday, quarantine passes would be used in an odd-even scheme.
Holders of quarantine passes ending in odd numbers may leave their houses from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and between 5 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sundays.
Those ending in even numbers may be used from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Sundays.
Only one quarantine pass may be used per family by those age 21 to 59 years, except when there are no other people available to perform essential tasks for them.
“Leisure activities outside residents’ homes are prohibited, especially mass gatherings. Barangay checkpoints will also be in place to limit and control the number of people entering and leaving … ,” the memorandum said. INQ
