TACLOBAN CITY — A series of earthquakes shook Samar Island on Sunday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
A magnitude 2.5 quake was felt in Northern Samar at 7:24 p.m.
Its epicenter was traced in Allen town.
The tremor was tectonic in origin with a depth of about 065 kilometers.
Another quake with a magnitude of 2.3 was felt in Samar. The epicenter was recorded in Basey town.
The last tremor happened at 10:53 p.m. in Eastern Samar. It had a magnitude of 4.1 and a depth focus of 033 kilometers.
Phivolcs said the earthquakes did not produce any damage or aftershocks.
