WATCH: Duterte was the last to know about frontliners’ pleas
MANILA, Philippines —Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque on Monday was busy putting context to President Duterte’s rants against the COVID-19 medical frontliners.
On the video below, Roque maintained that the members of the medical community should have given the administration a chance to respond to their pleadings before seeking “publicity.”
He continued saying “dahil ang naobserbahan natin, talagang nauna pa ang webinar bago doon sa pagtanggap sa liham ng Presidente (because we observed that the webinar came first before the President received the letter).”
Then he deplored: “Ang hindi lang nakakaalam ng laman ng liham ay si President mismo (It was only the President who had no idea what the letter was about at that time).” [ac]
