MANILA, Philippines — Severe Tropical Storm Dindo has slightly intensified but is now outside the Philippine area of responsibility, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported.

In its 11 a.m. bulletin, Pagasa said the center of “Dindo” was last spotted 555 kilometers north northeast of Basco, Batanes outside PAR.

It exited PAR at around 9 a.m.

It is forecast to continue moving northwestward towards the East China Sea and is likely to make landfall over Zhejiang Province in eastern China early Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, the low pressure area spotted 450 kilometers east southeast of Davao City is less likely to develop into a tropical depression in the next 48 hours, according to Pagasa.

“However, it may bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over Caraga and Davao Region,” the weather bureau added.

Pagasa said occasional rains will be experienced over Batanes and Babuyan Islands due to the southwest monsoon or “habagat”.
