6 Chinese nationals, drug suspect detained for P8-M worth of shabu seized in Subic Freeport

OLONGAPO CITY –– About P8-million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) was seized in two separate operations inside the Subic Bay Freeport on Thursday, July 30, which led to the arrest of six Chinese nationals.

About a thousand grams of the contraband (worth P6.8 million) was concealed in the vehicle carrying Jiang Peng, Liu Qiao Zhi, Huang Du, Chen Pingxing, Xia Fayong, and Fan Sheng Jian.  The vehicle was flagged down for a traffic violation at the Tipo Gate by enforcers of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA).

They also found weapons and 11 mobile telephones among the foreigners’ belongings.

On the same day, a suspected drug pusher was caught in a police operation in front of the Royal Choice Duty-Free located at Manila Ave.

Oliver de Jesus, a resident of Dinalupihan town in Bataan province, was caught with 186 grams of shabu, worth P1.5 million, which was kept inside a cellular telephone box.
