Palace: July 31 a regular holiday for Eid’l Adha
MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang declared Friday, July 31, 2020 a regular holiday nationwide in observance of Eid’l Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice.

The declaration was made through Presidential Proclamation No. 985 (s. 2020), Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea told reporters in a text message Thursday.
Eid’l Adha, which commemorates the sacrifice made by Abraham in obedience to Allah’s command, is a major Muslim feast celebrated by a pilgrimage in Mecca, Islam’s holiest city.
