THE CEBU LIFE Guards & Swimmers Center (CLSC) ruled the 1st SHS-Ateneo de Cebu Novice Swim Meet last Sunday at the school’s 25-meter, 8-lane swimming pool.
The CLSC became overall champions after its tankers accumulated a total of 437 points.
Two of CLSC’s swimmers were also named as the most bemedalled swimmers in their respective categories. They were Charles Jeremiah Lipura for the 7-8 years old boys category and Mechaella Kong in the 11-12 years old girls category.
The group was trailed at second place by the Pool Pirates Swimming Team (PPST), which finished with 434 points. Salvaging third place was the Bohol Aquatic Sports Association (BASA) with 349 points.
Other tankers who were honored for having won the most number of medals in their respective categories were University of San Carlos’ (USC) Keith Yuhann Echavez and PPST’s Collen Go in the 6 years old and under; Cebu Aquatic Sports Association (CASA) Cebu City’s Charlotte Barlow and BASA’s Alvan Joshua Potot in the 7-8 years old; Ateneo de Cebu Swimming Club’s (ADCSC) Valandre Chiu and BASA’s Jennifer Charles in the 9-10 years old; SHS-Hijas de Jesus’ Ryan Limtin in the 11-12 years old; PPST’s Hanz Velano and Cebu Swimming Instructors Association’s (CSIA) Genevie Habagat in the 13 years old and over. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G.
