CITY OF SAN FERNANDO—At least 44 companies operating at the Clark Civil Aviation Complex (CCAC) have been given temporary reprieve in paying rent as of June without interest accruing.
The reprieve was given in response President Rodrigo Duterte’s call, during his State of the Nation Address (SONA) last Monday (July 27), for help to be given to the business sector suffering from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Aaron Aquino, president and CEO of state-owned Clark International Airport Corp.
“We currently have about 45 locators and we told them that they don’t have to right now pay their rentals for the months of April to June this year, and they also do not need to worry about paying any interests or penalties on delayed payments,” Aquino said in a statement on Wednesday (July 29).
The Clark Freeport, where the CCAC is located, has been under enhanced community quarantine since March 17.
