4.1 quake shakes parts of Eastern Samar
TACLOBAN CITY –– A 4.1 magnitude earthquake shook several parts of Eastern Samar at 2:34 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29.
Based on the monitoring of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the epicenter of the quake was located in Maydolong town.
The tremor was felt in Maydolong, Balangkayan, Llorente, General MacArthur, Salcedo, and Balangiga at Intensity 3; Lawaan, also in Eastern Samar, at Intensity 2; and in Palo town, Leyte at Intensity 1.
The quake has a depth of 029 kilometers and was tectonic in origin.
The Phivolcs said the early morning quake did not cause any damage or aftershocks.
