Girlfriend of slain female driver in Laguna abducted – police

MANILA, Philippines — The girlfriend of the murdered female car rental driver in Calamba City was abducted Wednesday, the Laguna provincial police said.

Meyah Amatorio, the girlfriend of Jingle “Jang” Lucero who was found dead with dozens of stab wounds inside her car last June, was reportedly seized by still unidentified persons from her home in Bay municipality.

Lt. Col. Chitadel Gaoiran, spokesperson of Laguna provincial police, confirmed this to INQUIRER.net in a text message and said an investigation of the incident is still in progress.

“Ongoing pa ang investigation para matukoy ang motive and suspects sa incident,” Gaoiran said.

To recall, Lucero was found dead with 52 stab wounds inside her car in Barangay Maunong, Calamba City on June 28.

One of the suspects in the gruesome killing, Ann Sheila Belarmino, was arrested last July 3 but was later released due to insufficient evidence.
