MANILA, Philippines — The distribution of the second tranche of the social amelioration fund may stretch into the first two weeks of August, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said on Tuesday.

Social Welfare Secretary Rolando Bautista said they would still strive to finish the payouts by July 31 as scheduled.

“If ever we do not meet this, our estimate is we will be paying out until the first two weeks of August,” he said in an online press briefing.
