MANILA, Philippines — Local oil firms raised pump prices of diesel by 25 centavos per liter and of gasoline by 30 centavos per liter as investors looked at oil to shore up funds against the depreciation of the US dollar.
Petron, Shell, Seaoil, Cleanfuel, Phoenix and Total announce the hikes effective 6 a.m. on Tuesday.
Petron, Shell and Seaoil also raised pump prices of kerosene by 30 centavos per liter.
The Asian bellwether Dubai crude fluctuated and returned to $43.30 per barrel as of July 23, the same level a week earlier.
