MANILA, Philippines — A 52-year old fisherman from Morong, Bataan, who survived for a month adrift at sea after a cargo ship sank his fishing boat, has been repatriated to the Philippines more than three months after he was rescued in Vietnam.

Nadie Repil, who was rescued by Vietnamese fishermen last April 17, was among the 12,022 Filipinos repatriated last week.

Repil was turned over by Vietnamese authorities to the Philippine Embassy on May 12.
