MANILA, Philippines — As the Senate opened its second regular session of the 18th Congress ahead of President Rodrigo Duterte’s State of the Nation Address (SONA), senators Grace Poe and Risa Hontiveros departed from the usual over the top looks and instead opted for simpler attires.
Poe, as in previous years, was garbed in her signature white dress.
Aside from a face mask and a visor, Poe was also shown wearing an air humidifier worn around her neck.
Similarly, Hontiveros opted to wear white for the opening of the Senate session. She also paired her ensemble with a beige half-sun symbolic “Araw” brooch.
According to Hontiveros’ office, the senator’s outfit was designed by Joel Acebuche. Meanwhile, the brooch was crafted by the Philippine Fashion Coalition, along with designers Amina Aranaz-Alunan and Rajo Laurel.
