COVID-19 cases at PCOO jump to 26

MANILA, Philippines — The new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) infections among staff of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) continued to rise as 20 active cases were recorded at the PCOO main office on Sunday.

This brings to 26 the total number of active COVID-19 cases in the PCOO and its attached agencies, a surge that Communication Secretary Martin Andanar lamented as “worrisome.”

“For the last week, the cases really went up … It’s really worrisome how it suddenly spiked up,” said Andanar in a dzBB interview on Sunday.
