Friday weather: Expect hot weather in Metro Manila, rain in Visayas, Mindanao
MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon will still experience hot and humid weather tomorrow, Friday, although state meteorologists said isolated rain showers remain possible.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its forecast released Thursday afternoon that temperatures in Metro Manila will range from 25°C to 35°C while Laoag will feel it at 24°C to 32°C, and Legazpi at 26°C to 33°C.
It also said that rain will persist in parts of Visayas and Mindanao even if the low-pressure area spotted east of the country’s southern region already dissipated.
No other weather disturbance is being monitored as of now, and rains in the southern part of the country are caused by the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), the state weather bureau noted.
“Makikita natin sa ating latest satellite imagery ‘yong mga kaulapan na bumabalot dito sa may Palawan, Visayas, at Mindanao ito ay dulot ng [ITCZ] kaya ngayong gabi asahan pa rin po natin dyan ‘yong maulap na kalangitan na may kalat-kalat na pag-ulan,” senior weather specialist Ana Clauren said.

Meanwhile, Pagasa said that slightly colder temperatures may be felt in Cebu and Iloilo at 25°C to 31°C as the rest of Mindanao will see generally fair weather except for the Zamboanga peninsula as Davao City will have 25°C to 33°C climate and Cagayan de Oro, 24°C to 31°C.
The state weather bureau, on the other hand, did not issue any gale warning which means that fisherfolk and boat transport operators using small seacraft may set sail Friday.
