Cancer-stricken woman among new COVID-19 cases in Olongapo

OLONGAPO CITY –– A cancer-stricken woman is among the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patients reported in this city on Tuesday.

In a statement, Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said the 72-year-old woman, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in October last year, complained of difficulty in breathing on July 17.

She was rushed to a hospital and was swabbed the next day. The test result turned out positive on Tuesday.

Paulino said a 55-year-old worker, who travels outside the city as part of his job, also tested positive for the virus.

The city has recorded 20 COVID-19 cases to date, 13 of them had recovered while two had died.
