House records 18th coronavirus case
MANILA, Philippines — Just days before the reopening of Congress and the President’s fifth State of the Nation Address, the House of Representatives on Tuesday reported its 18th case of the new coronavirus at the Batasang Pambansa complex.
House Secretary-General Jose Luis Montales said an employee stationed at the Bills and Index Service and whose identity was not revealed had tested positive for coronavirus.
“He has been working from home since June 18, but he went to their office last June 29 to submit some documents,” he said.
“Meanwhile, our first confirmed case from Internal Audit Department has now tested negative,” Montales added.
