CITY OF SAN FERNANDO –– A 3-year-old girl in Minalin town, Pampanga tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Tuesday, raising the tally in the former zero-infected town to 15 in just a month.
Minalin Mayor Edgar Flores said the symptomatic child was brought to a government quarantine facility together with her parents.
Her family lives in Barangay Sto. Domingo, where a cluster of 13 COVID-19 cases had been recorded.
Flores said the girl was a close contact of Case No. 10, who was exposed to Case No. 6, the second death due to COVID-19 in the same village.
The girl is known to be the youngest victim of COVID-19 in Pampanga, which logged 123 cases from June 15 to July 17.
The province recorded 103 cases only from March 17 to June 14.
