MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck off mainland Mindanao on Saturday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The 6:12 a.m. quake centered 169 kilometers southwest of Sarangani in Socsargen region.
Phivolcs said the tremor was of tectonic origin, and had an 89-kilometer depth of focus.
No aftershocks or damage was expected, Phivolcs added.
