CITY OF SAN FERNANDO—The Casino Filipino in Angeles City was temporarily shut starting Friday (July 17) afternoon after three employees there tested positive for SARS Cov2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. said the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor) had also ordered the temporary closure.
Andrea Domingo, Pagcor chair, said it was closed for disinfection.
People who came in close contact with the infected employees have been identified, isolated and would be tested for the virus.
The infected casino workers are being treated in different hospitals.
Lazatin said Angeles City has logged 42 COVID-19 cases with 27 recoveries and four fatalities.
