MANILA, Philippines — The Manila government will put up another drive-thru coronavirus testing center at the Quirino Grandstand, days after the launching of its first drive-thru testing center at the Bonifacio Shrine near the City Hall.

Manila Public Information Office said the Manila government received approval from National Parks Development Committee (NPDC) executive director Cecille Lorenzana-Romero to establish the new testing site at the Quirino Grandstand.

The NPDC manages the Rizal Park where Quirino Grandstand is located.

“Itong grandstand, kaya nating mag-test ng 700 sa drive-thru. Mapaghihiwalay din natin ang apat na gulong, tatlong gulong, dalawang gulong, motorized at non-motorized,” Moreno said in his live report on Thursday night.

(At the grandstand, it can conduct around  700 tests. We can also separate lanes for four-wheeled vehicles, three-wheeled vehicles, two-wheeled, motorized and non-motorized.)

The first drive-thru testing center at the Andres Bonifacio Monument in Lawton offers free COVID-19 testing to Manila residents as well as non-residents. The testing facility is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
