Rare pandemic record: 2 cities, 8 towns in Ecija still free of COVID-19

CABANATUAN CITY–Two cities and eight municipalities in Nueva Ecija province remained free of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) as of Wednesday (July 15), records from the Department of Health (DOH) showed.

These are Palayan City and Science City of Munoz, and the towns of Nampicuan, Carranglan, Llanera, Lupao, Talugtug, Bongabon, Peñaranda and General Tinio.

According to the Palayan City health office, one of its 67 suspected COVID-19 cases had already tested negative for the virus.

The province has recorded 110 COVID-19 cases to date, 68 of which are recoveries and four fatalities.
