Heat dominate second half to roll past Spurs

MIAMI — LeBron James scored 33 points and Chris Bosh added 30 as the Miami Heat used a historic third-quarter turnaround to erase a big deficit and beat the San Antonio Spurs 120-98 yesterday.
Miami outscored San Antonio 39-12 in the third quarter — the second-largest differential for any quarter in Heat history, and the second-worst differential for a period in Spurs history. The Heat trailed 52-35 late in the second quarter.
Mike Miller made his season debut and shot 6 for 6 on 3-pointers, finishing with 18 points tying his career-high for makes from beyond the arc. And the Heat did it all without Dwyane Wade, sitting out on his 30th birthday because of a sprained right ankle.
Danny Green scored 20 points for the Spurs, and Tony Parker had 18.

At Orlando, Florida, Dwight Howard had 25 points and 17 rebounds to lead Orlando to its fifth straight win.
Jameer Nelson scored 17 points, Hedo Turkoglu had 15 and Von Wafer 13 as the Magic won for the 10th time in 12 games.
Gerald Henderson had 22 points for Charlotte, which has lost eight of its last nine. The Bobcats are also winless in their last five trips to Orlando.

At Cleveland, David Lee scored a season-high 29 points — 13 in the fourth quarter — and Nate Robinson added 17 points, leading Golden State past the road-worn Cavaliers.
Golden State’s Monta Ellis had to be helped from the floor bleeding in the final minute with a cut on his face. He was accidentally struck by an elbow from Cleveland’s Anderson Varejao. Ellis finished with 10 points — 13 below his average.

At Chicago, Carlos Boozer scored 26 of his season-high 31 points in the first half, leading short-handed Chicago past Phoenix.
Boozer hit 12 of 15 shots in the opening half and scored eight points during a 12-point burst that opened up a 20-point lead for Chicago, which was playing without Derrick Rose for the second straight game because of a sprained left big toe.

At Houston, Samuel Dalembert had 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Luis Scola also scored 14 as Houston downed Detroit for its fourth straight win.
Kyle Lowry had 13 points, five rebounds and five assists for the Rockets, who outrebounded the Pistons 42-35 to offset 21 turnovers. Houston shot 49 percent (40 of 81) from the field and scored 21 points off 17 offensive rebounds.

At Milwaukee, Corey Brewer scored a season-high 22 points as Denver started its five-game road trip with a win over Milwaukee.
Brandon Jennings scored 12 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter and first-round pick Tobias Harris came off the bench for 14 for the Bucks, who lost for the first time in five home games.
