32 NAIA personnel positive for coronavirus — MIAA

10 have recovered, while the rest are still on quarantine

MANILA, Philippines — The number of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) personnel positive for COVID-19 has reached 32, Manila International Airport Authority General Manager Ed Monreal said Monday.

In a televised briefing, Monreal disclosed that of the 32 personnel, 10 have already recovered, while the rest remain under quarantine.

“Meron po tayo 32 na nag-positibo. Out of the 32, sampu na po ang nakarecover (We have 32 personnel who tested positive for COVID-19. Out of the 32, 10 have already recovered),” Monreal said.

“Yung natitira po ay kasalukuyang naka quarantine at binabantayan at inaasikaso ng ating pamunuuan,” he added.

(The rest are under quarantine and are being monitored by authorities.)

NAIA’s anti-trafficking officers were placed under two-week lockdown from July 8 to July 22 after some employees got infected by the virus.
