LUCENA CITY –– The number of confirmed coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in Quezon province has reached 200 after a new virus carrier was recorded on Monday.
Meanwhile, 12 patients were declared recovered, 10 of them from Atimonan town, and one each from Lucena City and Tiaong town, the Quezon public information office (QPIO) said in its 8 a.m. bulletin on social media.
Atimonan town has recorded a total of 15 COVID-19 cases, of whom at least 11 are health workers.
With the recovery of the previous three patients, Atimonan has two remaining active cases.
Lucena, the capital city of the province, recorded another confirmed virus carrier bringing the total number of local COVID-19 cases to 79, the QPIO stated.
As of Monday, 71 patients have recovered, leaving eight people with COVID-19. No death from COVID-19 has been recorded in this city.
Tiaong town has two patients with one recovered and one death.
Of the 200 COVID-19 cases in Quezon, 158 have recovered and 12 others have died.
