CITY OF SAN FERNANDO–All the 110 employees and 52 contractual workers of Japanese tire maker Yokohama Tire Philippines Inc. (YTPI) in Clark Freeport have ended their quarantine at the New Clark City in Tarlac on Sunday.
This was after they all tested negative of the coronavirus after being quarantined for two to three days, YTPI announced on social media. The health and sanitation division of the state-owned Clark Development Corp. confirmed this to the INQUIRER.
The swab testing was done after a female contractual worker connected with the manpower agency Aresun tested positive for COVID-19 on July 4.
She was treated for mild symptoms in a government hospital. Members of her family turned up negative for the virus, according to the CDC. YTPI was scheduled to resume operation on Monday with the assurance of strict enforcement of safety protocols.
