Cloudy skies with chance of rains over most parts of PH
MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country will have cloudy skies with a chance of rains on Saturday, the state weather bureau said.
In its 4 a.m. live weather update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the inter-tropical convergence zone (ITCZ) continues to affect Southern Mindanao.
“Sa kasalukuyan, patuloy pa rin nakakaapekto ICTZ dito nga sa katimugang Mindanao na siya pa ring nagdadala ng mga pag-ulan sa malaking bahagi ng Mindanao,” weather specialist Meno Mendoza said in the live weather update.
(At present, the ITCZ continues to affect Southern Mindanao, which is bringing rains over a large area of Mindanao.)
Because of this, cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected over the Zamboanga Peninsula, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato, Sarangani, General Santos City and Davao Occidental.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers, which may be experienced mostly in the afternoon or evening.
