SSS office in Bulacan remains shut after 8 staff test positive for COVID-19

CITY OF MALOLOS –– The office of the Social Security Services (SSS) here remained closed after eight of its employees tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Dr. Frederick Villano, assistant city health officer, said the employees were swabbed last month.

Six of them were asymptomatic and were placed on home quarantine, while one was admitted to a government-run isolation facility. The other one was taken to the regional government hospital in Pampanga province.

Sources said the patients were exposed to a virus-stricken senior citizen who went to the SSS office.
