No confirmed flight, no airport entry

MANILA, Philippines — Passengers without confirmed flights should not go to the airports to avoid inconvenience, the Department of the Interior and Local Government said on Wednesday.

“Going to the airport without a confirmed flight or ticket is a waste of energy and time, and will just lead to frustration,” said Interior Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya.

He said walk-in passengers would not be able to purchase tickets at the airport while all passengers with canceled flights would not be allowed to enter the terminal.

Passengers are advised to leave their contact details with the airlines so they can be notified of flight cancellations.
