Jang Lucero murder: Cops eye love triangle, hatred or revenge

MANILA, Philippines — Love triangle, hatred or revenge.

These are the angles being pursued by police investigators in the murder of Jingle “Jang” Lucero, who was found dead with dozens of stab wounds inside her car in Calamba City, Laguna last month.

Col. Gene Licud in an interview over Teleradyo.

(For now, the love triangle is not being disregarded as motive and hatred or revenge is also being considered as a possible motive.)

On July 3, Calabarzon police arrested Ann Sheila Montes Belarmino, allegedly one of the suspects in the murder of Lucero. Police said Belarmino was identified by witnesses through closed-circuit television footage.

(There are witnesses saying that Belarmino is the girl who boarded Jang’s vehicle on the night Jang Lucero was slain.)

According to Licud, further investigation indicates that a total of five individuals are involved in Lucero’s murder and not six as earlier reported by police.
