LUCENA CITY –– At least three coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patients in Quezon province have recovered, authorities reported Wednesday.
The Quezon public information office (QPIO) in its 8 a.m. Bulletin announced the recovery of COVID-19 patients from Lucena City, Tayabas City, and the town of Sariaya.
With the latest report, Lucena, the capital of the province, has only five remaining active virus carriers out of its recorded 73 cases. There’s no COVID-19 death yet in this city.
Tayabas City has 10 recorded cases but nine have recovered while one has died.
Sariaya recorded eight virus carriers since the pandemic began. Four of them have recovered, while two have died.
Quezon, now under modified general community quarantine, has recorded a total of 184 COVID-19 cases of which 139 have recovered and 11 others have died.
The province has 35 remaining active virus carriers.
As of Wednesday morning, health authorities in different localities still keep watch over 36 suspected coronavirus carriers, all confined in medical facilities. Another 49 are on home quarantine.
