Chinese woman in scuffle with Makati traffic enforcers arrested

MANILA, Philippines — A Chinese woman was arrested after arguing with traffic enforcers and hitting them with an umbrella at the intersection of Jupiter Street and Makati Avenue in Barangay Bel-Air in Makati.

The incident was captured in a video that went viral on Facebook social media on Tuesday.

Later on, she vented her ire at a passing biker, who sustained scratches near the neck.

The traffic enforcers tried to handcuff her to stop her from hitting other people, but she resisted.

When they finally managed to put the cuffs on her, she continued shouting at them.

According to the Makati City Police Station, the suspect is currently detained at the Police Community Precinct 6 in Poblacion, Makati.

Investigators have yet to release the woman’s identity as they were still processing papers to file a complaint against her for physical injury and resisting arrest.

However, they confirmed that the woman is a Chinese citizen.
