Did You Know: 12% of people aged 15 or older have ‘severe disability’

According to the 2016 National Disability Prevalence Survey recently released by the Philippine Statistics Authority, of the individuals aged 15 and older in the country, 12 percent had “severe disability,” 47 percent had “moderate disability,” 22 percent had “mild disability” and 19 percent had “no disability.”

For individuals with severe disabilities, 51 percent were not working while 49 percent were working.
