BUTUAN CITY—Domestic flights to Caraga region will resume at Butuan City airport on July 10 after more than two months of community lockdown due to the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. The Regional Task Force for COVID-19 One Caraga Shield said Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines would start flying on July 10 and July 13, respectively, at half their passenger capacity in accordance with health and safety protocols to avoid COVID-19 infection. The task force said only passengers who tested negative for the virus in real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests would be allowed to board their flights. The airlines would also require passengers to fill out forms for contact tracing. All arriving passengers will undergo a 14-day quarantine even if their RT-PCR tests show negative results. —ERWIN MASCARIÑAS
